MLF Stage 5 on Kentucky Lake

I'm really enjoying this tournament on my favorite lake.  I always enjoy watching these guys fish my home waters.  Ledges and Carolina rigs are playing big the way they do in my fishing.   I've been watching Drew Gill shake a minnow with his FFS in every tournament this year and I've wondered how he does it.   Turns out he can't do it either on Kentucky Lake.  😆

Jake Lawrence caught enough yesterday that he's apparently not fishing today.  It's his home lake and he should be hard to beat.  Michael Neal is killing it and as always Jacob Wheeler is looking strong.   It's gonna be interesting to see how this one ends.

I think the FFS is almost always hard on the TN river because of all the other fish that show up on it. Like on wheeler lake last year, the ole dragging tactic won it. Gussy and Jacob wheeler on guntersville are the only times I recall somebody running away with the minnow shaking

Kentucky lake is special for sure. I always do well down there. It would be a great place to live.

Water is still a little dirty according to Wheeler. Nonetheless it’s fishing like you’d expect. One of these days I hope to fish Pickwick.

Quite a few guys have been holding back preserving their schools. Could be some big numbers the next two days if everything lines up

Great tournament I’m playing fantasy and absolutely getting destroyed just like I do in Bass. One thing Wheeler is the real deal

Wheeler struggling a bit, I’m a little surprised.

I think we're entering the Wheeler - Lawrence era.

Can’t believe he came from so far behind , reminds me of the Pacer’s 😁

Kentucky Lake is definitely back minus the big fish.  When all of the 3 and 4 pound fish grow up it will be world class again.  This was classic ledge fishing except for Andy Montgomery who had a good week flipping boat dock.  I enjoyed watching it.

Did anyone fish Lake Barkley ?

I believe Andy Montgomery did a good bit. He’s the only one in top 10 who was fishing docks and marinas

And that's a wrap. 9 time champion. Nobody else even close.

barge and a rain coat, classic TN river . I think Daniels said he was starting on Barkley in the video but I have no idea where this is. He did get a 4/12 LM in that tree top in swift water
