Okuma stratus spinning reel

Featured Replies

Anyone use this reel? Picked on up on sale for $39.99 and had a $10 off coupon so scored the reel for $29.99. Dicks employee says it’s made by okuma specifically for dicks. Felt decent in hand and had decent line lay for a $30 reel. Have yet to to use it but hoping within the next week or two

I have several Okuma spinning reels and find them very smooth and lasting a long time.

I don’t have that one, but at that price, I believe I will! I was in dicks looking for oars the other day but didn’t look at reels. I smell a lunch break shopping trip in my future 😂

I bought one a couple months back. Haven't been able to test the drag against many big fish yet but the reel feels solid overall. I have it on a ML AirdX as my minnow rod- they balance well together and feels like it should cost a lot more than $80 combined.

I would say it's a good buy. I don't have that model, but have had great luck with Okuma reels in the past. Good luck with you new reel.
