I'm thinking about getting some jigs from Siebert at some point, and with his options, I'm thinking about getting some of them with a red head. I've heard that a red head is great for a swimbait, but how about for just a regular jig for dragging the bottom? Any other color that I should consider outside of the standard black, brown, and green pumpkin?

No.

weight gets it to where you want it. Black, GP, or straight lead, doesn’t really matter.

 

i like white, black, or lead.

I don’t think it matters what so ever. Get what makes you happy.  It’s not gonna bother the fish 

I like redheads 

Pearl white in lieu of red for swim jigs.

Try to match the predominate skirt color.
