What rod do you use for flukes/weightless senko?

7 ft 6 mxf spinning rod with 8 lb mono. I tried Braid but our rocky rivers tore it up .

I'm happy enough with my Lews Hank Parker 6'10" M/F casting rod. Just caught a couple small ones on a fluke with it this morning. The largest of which was 2 1/4lbs.

I am presently using a Kastking 7' Perigee ll MH/F with a Zephyr 2000  spooled with 10#braid and 10#FC leader.

I use a 6'7" ML/Fast rated for 1/16- 5/8oz lures. I usually fish weightless and 1/10 oz belly weighted (nail weight) flukes on it. Also works well for the 1/10 and 1/8 oz 2/0 EWG ned heads from Siebert Outdoors. I usually have a 3.5" keitech paddlin beaver, 4" maxscent flatworm or jeff kriet squirrel tail worm on em.

Line twist is a problem with flukes correct?

I bought a bag at least 15 years ago and tried it once and caught a smallmouth on it.

Not sure why I stopped throwing them.

Still have the bag and I've thrown them on the back of spinnerbaits as a trailer, seems to work well.

I’ve thrown so many weightless senkos with a Dobyns Fury 733.    So any subsequent rod choices after that are based on the light side of medium now.

I use a 6'6" MH version when I am skipping those plastics under docks.  Reason is that I need some back bone to horse em out of there quickly before they wrap around a post or lift.

For more traditional use, I favor a M action version that is longer for better distance when casting.
