3" grub or none

Half a Yum Dinger. Being I have a couple hundred tore up Dingers I use the intact rear half for trailers and Neds.

I don't own any split tails (never used one)

Just use a fluke.

Rarely do I use one as I tie my skirts to flare like War Eagle. When I do use one it is a Zoom split tail or a 4" grub tail pointed down.

What's your technique to tie a flared skirt that negates the need for a trailer?

I turn my tabs backwards to get the flare.

No trailer is my first choice, if needed a single or double tail grub. for less action a spunk shad or a keitech with the paddle tail cut off.
