2025 Season In Review........ kinda bummed out

Featured Replies

The 2025 season for me has come to an end and I'm bummed out about that. The last several years I've been able to get out in the early part of November, but no joy this year in that regard. This year I wasn't able to get out on the water as much as I usually do. Life, obligations, family, and weather dashed many of my planned ventures. Despite that, I am extremely thankful for just being able to get to wet a line and enjoy the solitude and quietude. I did have some very good innings.

I video the entire day and edit it down to put on YouTube. I do this for three reasons. One is to be able to share my experiences with friends & family. Two, I can observe my mistakes in all their glory (I don't edit them out) and to be able to learn from them. Three,                                                              I do it for my own pleasure of reliving the trips and refreshing my memory. I could care less as to how many views they receive.

Actually, there is a fourth reason. The videos help me to learn more about video editing and the editing software (DaVinci Resolve).

Thanks!  I have a very long way to go before I will consider myself proficient in editing. As frustrating as it is, it's fun and much like fishing.

Thanks for the effort. I've been working with this for hours and still no joy.
