This whole thing doesn’t surprise me at all.

I had ordered a used rod that I ended up cancelling before it shipped.  I paid with PayPal, and from experience it is easy to give and get refunded with PayPal.  It took nearly two weeks and countless emails to finally get refunded for a rod that never shipped.

An employee mistakenly CC’d me on an email chain and called me names and a “pain in the *** customer.”  So, they were definitely having issues.

That's not good, and sad to hear!!

  • Yes they did do horrible, I place an order and after 7 months (yes more than 200 days), They return my money after I requested. I even email them if they need help in business and someone to weigh

Not sure if anyone else got the email, but I believe the new owners are up and running now. I think they are called “The Rod Locker”. Exact same location. Grand opening email came through today with some Dobyns deals. Also, what looks like the same set of used gear as ALF had at the end.

I just saw this too. Hopefully my membership doesn’t auto renew. I put a note in my calendar to cancel but found out they shut down. I’ve gotten some good deals there in the past so I hope they get up and running well again….still seeing a ton of “out of stock” stuff though.

Looks like points carried over! Super excited to see them back!
