I am a fan of War Eagle spinner baits.  I use a willow/ Colorado combination or a double willow.  Here are my choices and when I use them:

Firecracker….clear water with sunshine

Golden shiner…..cloudy days

Bleeding shiner…..off colored water

White…..any time

Chartreuse….any time

I don’t fish spinnerbaits much.

But when I do, I have used strike king and booyah. Willow and colorado combo, or a single colorado.

A friend of mine does very well with a black skirt.

I caught a 6.3 on a multi colored skirt, that was trying to match bluegill colors. I  have caught some  on a white skirt also.

This was mostly in fairly clear waters, or slightly stained .

War Eagle Sexy Mouse. Killer color

Can't go wrong with chartreuse in any type of water.

I buy the cheap ones from Walmart…. The $1.00 something ones and they do pretty good.

I don’t cry to hard if I loose them.

They have differs colors and blades too, you have to check them when ya go. They change it up…. Sometimes willow blades, sometimes willow.

I use a spinnerbait alot around here. White, with silver and or gold blades. coleslaw, firetiger(booyah color) or white chart shad(booyah color). and occasionally all chart. I like the nichols painted chart, has a blue hue and the blades have blue metal flake. I fish booyah, delta lures (they have the best coleslaw not too much color) and nichols spinnerbaits. I prefer the booyah counterstrikes over anything else.

I will add I have had bluegill from nichols, gold shiner from a couple companies and houdini and not really had the success as I do on just a white or a white with a little color

Nows a good time to throw them, then once again in feb/march when it starts warming up into the high 60's again for water temp.
