    I have a couple $500 rods. IMO no better than a $250 rod which is slightly ahead of a $100-150 rod.

    $250 reel and $250 rod is now tops for me

    Couldn’t have said it better myself. Although I didn’t spend $500 on a rod or a reel, I did spend $300 on a reel (and a few other things from digitaka since I was already shipping) and I spent $200 on a rod (I bought a zodias to go with it - bought from TW). Wife was supposed to buy some 20% off thu gift cards for BDay/Fathers Day in June, so if so, that’s when I’ll jump on that P5.
