Over the holiday break, I came across an oversized Rapala Crankbait that I just had to have.  

this wall decor measures 29", steel hooks and all 

 

i need some suggestions on how to hang this on the wall.  

I thought about hanging it from the ceiling via fishing line but i don't think i'd like that.

the appearance of it "floating" would look cool, but not sure how to achieve that.

 

anyone else own one of these bad boys?  how do you display it?

any suggestions?

 

I think 1 4d finish nails in the wall left long enough to tie fishing line to the lure thusly (like that one?)

I'm just spit balling but what if you mounted it inside a picture frame and then hung the picture frame on the wall.

that would be like a 12" thick frame......super duper frame!

well, I have been playing around with placement. and although i'd like to hang it above my TV in the living room, it would certainly look funny and out of place. so I think i'm gonna hang it from the rafters in my garage. one bay of my garage is kayak/fishing stuff. I think i'll hang it in that bay so it adds decor to that bay of the garage. i'll post some pictures once it's in place. most likely use fishing line to hang it.

I have a giant perch Jerkbait rapala on my wall! We have it displayed vertically at the moment, might try something like this !
