we reserved the campsites.  7 days of laughs with friends.  it is a very therapeutic event for me.   laughing until your cheeks hurt will let off stress.  haha.

the stripers didnt bite last year, which was okay..since I had a mandatory work trip and had to miss for the first time.

this year will be be special.  our camp host never accepts money from me.  I get to buy him the occasional dinner if we go to town but that is it.  this year I am gifting him a Vanford.  I hope he loves it.  he has old school Stradics..the one right before the Vanfords.

the group is getting bigger.  there will be 6-7 guys.   time for me to start shopping for topwater baits.

and 2026 is hopefully the year I convince a striper to hit a bladed jig with a big Skinny Dipper trailer.  it looks so good to me!!   that and a big jerk bait. both zero success baits for me.  at least at Texoma.

That’s what it’s all about ! I’ve been on a 20-30 person annual fishing for about 25 years, the family I go with has been doing it for 50 or so years. BPS even did a commercial about the trip including yours truly…….

I hope you have a blast!!!!

Enjoy it while you can. All my fishing buddies have passed away or moved away. Take advantage of it while you can.

Have Fun!
