Recommended sling packs for bank fishing?

Featured Replies

I have tried many different setups the last few years. I mostly fish from the banks or shore and have went from an old eastpack school backpack to sling bags of different sizes and styles and even picked up a dedicated fishing backpack that holds 4-3600 boxes plus all the extra compartments. I have ended up using the same old backpack that i started with years ago. It is a small-medium size pack and will comfortably fit 2-3700 or 2-3600 size boxes and a bag of 6-8 packs of soft plastics. I have found that 1 3700 size box and the soft plastics bag, along with some spare line/leader/tools is all i really need and is the most comfortable to carry if im going to be moving around a lot. I dont have to take it off while fishing and will easily swing around to get access to everything. It is also light enough while also having almost anything i could need with 1 3700 that is thoughtfully packed full along with the 6-8 packs of soft plastics.

I use a similar bag to @PhishLI bag but a Megellan brand .

At Academy for like $25. in camo.

I ended up getting the TW sling and recently used it for the first time. It’s perfect for my needs and at a reasonable price. It’s made for two 3600 size boxes but I was able to fit one 3600, two glide baits and a mag draft. The front pocket that opens out creating a “tray” is super helpful for changing baits. I would strongly recommend if anyone is considering it.
