Lews speed spool LFS + Carbontex Issue
Just a thought, but did you make sure you have all the drag washers in the correct order? I have made that mistake myself on one of my reels after a cleaning and it turned out i had the washers out of order so only one of the three drag washers were engaging.

Best $40-$50 spinning reel
I like the Handing M1 reels from Amazon. I had picked up a few of the 500, 2000, & 3000 sizes a few years ago and they are great for the price. I gifted most of them but kept 2 of the 500 sizes for ice fishing and panfish rigs and one 2000 (which is similar in size to other brands 3000 size like my older Pflueger President). Hard to beat for the money imho. https://www.amazon.com/HANDING-Spinning-Freshwater-Fishing-Bearings/dp/B0CHVSMS39/ref=sr_1_1_pp?crid=2OBLDCIBH7CVS&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.23XEZ8UEBtcnArJ2rFg-fITbC0Yeygcpy6wWo27U7VdFPHzZZQ4icLEmc8z5mVXKONwQmCxTW5PTxOsoSIl3y2xYc8mIEv6iHL5M6_a6AfrI1NFL1yKJhejeaE4wRh5_j-d4HH0Dkx_-ZR62-4RR_qNUw7IPQFdR8rP4w8FOQvBsXquUvC5r7Zcf8sjya_XmPlpDSMOo56sAGbMhYdQZRJsbTn0KhKxFbFYeNkojNk0.eKJqyHt0kxVscrHas5woDhjEVBWiObEutqIlyP5tbXM&dib_tag=se&keywords=handing%2Bm1&qid=1777170295&sbo=RZvfv%2F%2FHxDF%2BO5021pAnSA%3D%3D&sprefix=handing%2Bm1%2Caps%2C171&sr=8-1&th=1

Recommended sling packs for bank fishing?
I have tried many different setups the last few years. I mostly fish from the banks or shore and have went from an old eastpack school backpack to sling bags of different sizes and styles and even picked up a dedicated fishing backpack that holds 4-3600 boxes plus all the extra compartments. I have ended up using the same old backpack that i started with years ago. It is a small-medium size pack and will comfortably fit 2-3700 or 2-3600 size boxes and a bag of 6-8 packs of soft plastics. I have found that 1 3700 size box and the soft plastics bag, along with some spare line/leader/tools is all i really need and is the most comfortable to carry if im going to be moving around a lot. I dont have to take it off while fishing and will easily swing around to get access to everything. It is also light enough while also having almost anything i could need with 1 3700 that is thoughtfully packed full along with the 6-8 packs of soft plastics.

The latest sale thread
I picked up the 7'2" Medium casting and 7'6" spinning rods. The 7'2" casting is a true medium where the 7'6" spinning is more like a medium-lite+, which is exactly what i was hoping for. Reminds me of my older fenwick hmg ml spinning rod (2 versions ago model with a similar grip to the current berkley lighning rods) which is one of my favorites, only it was 6'9" and lost the top 2" of it but that didn't affect its performance in the slightest. With that said, the 7'6" rod i had delivered came packaged very well but the tip guide was bent badly and the insert fell out. I ordered 2 more on top of that just in case one of those had an issue and i'm glad i did, as one of the 2 new rods had a couple guides that didn't line up straight. Only one of the three 7'6" spinning rods made the quality control cut and ill be returning the other 2 this week at our local store. I have yet to fish them but they are very light and the grips on both feel good in hand.

School me on home spun Beetle Spins
Search "jig spinner" online and you can find some very cheap. I got a 50 pack of silver and gold Colorado blade jig spinners this year on Alix for around $5. I like using them with 1/4-3/8oz jigs. It is my #1 go to for pressured fish in any water type.

Rapala dt6 and roccos quality issues..
Try some E6000 adhesive to re attach it and be sure to lightly sand the part of the bill that gets inserted. It holds well to most materials i have tried so far and when cured it is flexible.

$50 spinning rod?
I would say give the good old Lews Hank Parker Rods at Walmart a try. They are locally available, which is always nice to see the rods in person. Surprisingly high quality for the price. The blank of the 6'10" rods have a slightly soft tip leading to a good backbone which should fit the characteristics your looking for in a rod for plastics and topwater lures. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Lew-s-Hank-Parker-6-10-1pc-Medium-Action-Spinning-Fishing-Rod/687812356

Time for a serious tackle cull.
Sort through it all and keep the rarest/best of the lot. Donate whats not worth much and sell the rest. Maybe do some bulk bundle sales through online platforms of the stuff you wont use or don't need so much of. I'm in a similar situation with items from other hobbies that took a back seat once the monkey had gotten its grip on my back.
