Great Lakes Finesse

Featured Replies

Anyone care to comment or give thoughts on their lineup? I like the Drop Minnow and Drop Worm… Have not tried their ned rigs or finesse jigs yet.. I know they are designed for smallmouth but what are some thoughts on largemouth too… I know the theory behind is these guys downsized their baits into ultra finesse and started winning tournaments…

I really like their stuff that I've used!

Their Sneaky Underspin is one of the best. I've used their Drop Minnow. Neutral buoyancy. Definitely works!

The 2" Juvvy Craw tube jig is crazy. So unique, fun to fish and looks as real as any craw. Gets bit!!

They really do put some thought into their baits and they work.

Sneaky underspin with a drop minnow has been good for me. Really good

Snack craw is a great Ned bait for me and also finesse jig trailer. I still want to try the Ned bug, looks awesome as a Ned bait. I Bought the finesse jigs for this year have not tried yet but quality is there and they look very fishy. I can’t imagine they won’t be awesome as well.

Seems to make great products overall, and I like that the baits are versatile for drop shot, Ned, jig, swimming etc.

All great stuff in my experience so far, I target smallies with GLF but have picked up accidental largies on the underspin, see no reason the other baits wouldn’t work for green bass either

I’ve used there craws a little bit. However, both times that Ive used the craws. it was tough fishing conditions has hot, high sky and gin clear water.

I just ordered a bunch of 2.5 inch tubes and included the 2.0 Juvy craw in the order. I’ve bought a couple of the under spins but, have not used them yet. There offerings are quality offerings.

I can appreciate the matte colors.

I can make pretty much the same identical round ball jigs with the matte colors.

I have and use a lot of their baits, they catch smallies in Lake Michigan as advertised. The juvy craw is a standout, both minnows are good, sneaky underspin is also great, I just need heavier options to keep it down in deep current. The jigs look good, but not exceptional at those prices and I definitely need to give the flat cat a chance on a finesse jig. Overall, I consider everything they offer as high quality but also set toward premium pricing. The thing I can't figure out about their offerings is how they ignore an entire deepwater niche of their terminal tackle. I caught a 20+lb bag yesterday on a cindy rig, but needed a 5/8oz 2/0 ballhead to keep bottom contact in the deep fast current of the harbor mouth.

I bring my city bag of smallie baits to a mostly LM dominated inland lake and don't dip into too many of the GLF offerings when I'm up there. The thing thats odd about the GL smallies is that so much of their diet consists of gobies, that big fish spend a lot more time keyed in on really small 2-3" profiles. My takeaway is that fishing a cindy rig for LM in clear water is underrated and what too many of us overlook as a finesse option.

I like their stuff that I have tried. The drop minnow has caught both LM and SM for me rigged on a drop shot. The sneaky underspin has been especially good for me. Especially in clear pressured ponds where I caught quite a few LM with it last year.

I would presume throwing a 5/8 th oz doesn't align with their "Finesse" ethos

For GLF lures/baits the Sneaky Underspin with a Hover Minnow has been my highest producer - followed closely by the Sneaky Underspin with a Dropkick Shad on it - the Juvvy Craw has been ok, I will give it more time this summer - I have ordered a few of their new Stay Pinned Spy/Prop lures and look forward to trying them out (the two Perch colors and the Matte Black look good) - overall my experiences are that they make quality, well thought out, fish catching products

5/8 oz w/ a thin wire 2/0 and a 3" ned bomb just caught me a bunch of smallies. Finesse is the hook not the weight in my mind. I stand by what I wrote.
