daiwa vs. daiwa

Featured Replies

ok all, I need 1 answer, and you dont need to explain at all....which do you think is a better reel: the sol or the viento...i have a chance to get a good deal on either, so let me know.

Sol for lighter finesse type applications

Viento for Jigs, t rigs etc...

Choose depending on what you will be mostly using it for. Viento may be a better choice for all purpose use.

Go with the Sol. I have an Alphas (Japanese version of the Sol) and a Viento. Both have their place, but the Alphas will outcast and is lighter than the Viento. The twitching bar is neat though. I don't guess I'm helping am I? ;D

thanks guys, i'm pretty sure i'm getting the sol, just have to get the "ok" from "sombody"

sol all the way, I don't like the whole idea of the "twitchin bar" I'd rather work my baits by hand thank you very much  :o

I purchased the Sol for $239, and within a week Cabelas was selling the TDZs for $200! I ordered three of the TDZ's and was able to return the Sol. I never got the chance to use the Sol, but it seemed like a very nice reel.

I LOVE my TD-Z's.  I also have an Ito Engineering Alpha and well, I love that too.  are the TD-Z's still available?  At that price go with the Z all the way.

I vote for an Alphas-the Japanese version of the SOL.  an ounce lighter and cheaper....

There is going to be a new one available in the Flea Market section as soon as I get some pics taken.  :o

Or, I certainly agree with the other fellas, pick up a TDZ for 2 bills if they are still available....
