Anyone remember them?

Still being made by the Hildebrand company.

Doing some tackle inventory/ organizing and found 4 old ones I had. Probably from the 80’s.

Skirts were shot and blades dull.

Polished the blades and retired new skirts at the vice.

I think these will hunt.

I remember - but never owned. They do have some extralong weedguards.

They were designed to come through the worse weeds and wood.

And they did.

I still own a couple…yellow & black ones.

I have 2, never got them wet; a good friend nearly always has one tied on, says it goes thru brush better than any other wire bait.

I couId fill up my house on the number of bass I have caught on a Snagless Sally. In fact, I have a separate box for Snagless Sally's that are always in my boat. They have been producing for me since I was a kid in the 1960's and I still rely on them throughout the year.

In the freshwater marshes in south Louisiana and some of the Mississippi River oxbow lakes I fish they are still one of the most productive lures to use. I recommend always using some type of trailer. I still have a decent supply of Uncle Josh #11 pork frogs that I use but I have used Rage Craws, and Ultra Vibe Speed craws also.

They still catch fish. I have one friend who rarely uses anything other than a green pumpkin worm, or a Snagless Sally. He thinks that if the fish won’t bite one of those two lures you might as well go home. He’s usually right.

I bought one last year when I was looking for a replacement for a custom inline that I used to have great luck with. Couldn't get bit on the Sally. But then, I never got comfortable with the way it ran, and didn'tlike the weed guard. I may try the Picasso inline as that looks a little more like what I used to have.
