Was looking for a Legend Tournament 7' H/F  "Frog and Slop" rod, but couldn't pass on those. The Avids were $99, and the Leg. Tourny. was $129  

Where did you get the price on that Legend Tourney rod?  That's an awesome buy.  The Avids were a great price also.

They were actually at a Gander Mtn. I don't go to often. Good thing I decided to stop in and check. The Gander Mtn. closer to me was sold out of them weeks ago.

the sportman's warehouse has some in my area, but the prices aren't quite that good.  they have a better selection of the legend than the avids.

Good buy's. I know, not too long ago, the local SW still had a few to clear out.

I know how that goes, looking for one thing and getting a deal on something else. I was all set on an MBR844 when I found the great deal on the 785. For $95 savings, I said close enough. That MH 610 might be "close enough" too.

I have been surching around my area for a Legend Tournament on clearance but no luck so far.  The Gander Mountain by me is sold out and all of other local shops that carry them have not put them on sale.  When I mention that they have been discountinued and new 08' is coming out, they think I'm crazy, especially when I tell them I got a Avid at Dicks for $65.  ;D

I am going to try one more shop today that carries Loomis and St.Croix rods to see if I have any luck.
