I tend to switch between lures often, and would like to know what knot you use to change quickly and keep strength.

Yep - here's a diffferent one- PALOMAR (capitalized).

I tie it 90% of the time, although I've heard that it is not the best with flouro, but I can't stand the way flouro handles, so not an issue.

I tie the San Diego Jam and can do it in 10-12 seconds with gloves on.  It takes me a lot longer to tie a palomar.

I tie the palomar alot as well, but if the lure/hook is too big to get the

loop over comfortably, I tie a hangman's noose.  The more pull, the tighter it gets. Never had one come undone.

I used to tie a noose exclusively a few years ago, but I had way too many breaks at the eye. I think it gets too tight after a while. Then I came up with a knot that was similar to a snell, but a little different. I kid you not, I was breaking nooses left and right, sat down for about 5 minutes, and came up with it. Up until about a year later, I had never seen a snell tied in my life.

ahh thanks for that link...the Rapala knot is the one i have using since i started fishing, didnt know there was a name for it and was never taught. Just used it  8-)

+4, the only thing I do not tie the palomar on is an ice jig

+5 for the palomar. Gotten pretty fast with the San Deigo jam not after watching one of the pro's tie it on TV. After looping it through the eye and then pinching back up the leader, he let the lure hang loose underneath and swung it around creating the wraps. Tuck it back under, through the loop and wet it a little and cinch it up.

Improoved Cinch and Polomar get my vote.

Never had a reason to try anything other than the improved clinch although I am using the SanDiego jam on braid

Palomar Knot.

I use this knot almost exclusively.  Not sure about quickest but its one of the strongest for not only braid but fluorocarbon and nylon mono as well.  It hasn't lost me a $200 swimbait yet (knock on wood) LOL
