Good stretchy line to compensate for fast action rod tip

Featured Replies

Gentlemen,

I just blew some money on a Musky rod instead of a CB rod and now I need some tips on a good stretchy line for crankbaits.

The rod I'm currently using for CB is a fast action rod.

Cheers.

Try searching for a link that was posted in the past, they compared a bunch of different lines for stretch and break strength vs. # ratings.  Surely someone saved that.

Try thinking about something else. like baseball, should buy you a few more minutes!

Flechero is right, some one posted a great article about lines and the amount of stretch and if I remember correctly XL WAS NOT at the top of the list, I was blown away buy the findings. Some one repost it, please?

Big Game.  It is designed to absorb the impact of high speed trolling.  It should work for your aplication.

Muddy's right. Women hate fast action rods.
