The Techna rod I have is one of my favorite rods, regardless of price.  These rods are wayy undervalued in my opinion.  I havent had a chance to try out the newer ones though, as mine is about 5 years old.

Good point Robert, my Techna's are also in the 4-5 year old category, and I think they have undergone some "upgrades" since then.  I can't speak to the brand new ones.  

I tried speaking to the new ones, they must be stuck up, they refused to answer

 I have an older one also, I use it mostly for weightless ,t rigging 5 inch *** Salty trik, one of my favorite rods!

Muddy, just don't show up on any searches for Minn Kota. Then you be in real trouble.  

I could think of a lot worse searches to come up in. Held a elite tech a couple weeks back and felt pretty nice.
