I have tried every flavor of line.  You name it and I've tried it.  Mono and floruocarbon.  I think that I have finally finished my line expierment.  I went back to using what I used when I was a kid--Trilene Big Game mono.  I use 10/12 pound for cranks and 15lb for soft baits and jigs.  I use Power Pro braid for frogs, swim jig, and flipping heavy cover.  Am I the only one out here that still uses Big Game or am I all alone?

 Not you're flavor but I used reg. Stren for more than 25 years. Have talked to other folks that tried everything and finally went back to mono...

Nope Big Game is almost all I use but Im beginning to take a liking to P-Line Floroclear

I'm a big fan of Ande Outback Blue.  Costs about $2.50 to spool a spinning reel.  I am still using last yrs!!!

NOT spending $20 to spool a reel has not affected our videos   8-) ;D

I loved Easy Cast. They changed the name to Magnaflex, but now they quit making both. Idiots.

Mono is still the all around go to line.

That having been said, once you try braid, in my case Power Pro, you won't go back. The sensitivity is astounding. Downfall...$$$$$ it is very expensive!!! JMO

For my reels that have mono on them I use Stren green.

One guy in our bass club uses Big Game.

He likes it.

I have never used it and am trying Yo-Zuri this year.

But the guy in my club does well so I guess Big Game is OK.

Been using Big Game GREEN 10#, 12#, 15# and 20# test for many moons now.....and still a satisfied customer.

I use Big Game for 90% of my mono uses but have been eyeing the Sensation as a possible replacement since I started using it for spinning rod applications.  Who knows. :-/

Big Game is the line to go with if you are using mono, and you can pick up a 1/4# spool almost anywhere fishing equipment is sold, and it is tough as nails.

the only thing about BG you have to worry about is should i be using 12 lb or 15 lb or maybe even 8 ...ITs that darn good yehawwww

For the last few years I've tested, used, and threw out more line then I care to remember.  Flouro is great, but it's just too expensive for my tastes. All my baitcasters are spooled with Power Pro and most have a co-poly or Mono leader.  My two spinning reels, one for drop shotting has 10 lb Power Pro/swivel/#8 lb Sufix Elite, and my other spinning reel has straight #8 lb Sufix Elite. If I can't find the Elite, I use Trilene XL instead. A oldie but a goodie. Still works great for me.

My go to line is still Triline xtra tough or xl.  XT for my spinnerbaits and worm fishing and xl for my crankbaits. I have tried others but I seem to always go back to these two.

Trilene XL is just brittle junk after they changed the forumula. Seems it gets rough surface and breaks very easily as soon as sunlight hits it.

Stren Easy Cast/Magnaflex was a great line. I miss it.

I heard big game has a lot of memory though and coils like crazy. Am I right? I know the big game supreme Trilene used to make was a very good line.
