Tieing knots on Spinnerbaits and Buzzbaits

Featured Replies

i use the improved clinch (cinch?) on spinnerbaits and buzzbaits. the palomar for everything else.

I'd be curious to know as well. I tie a palomar on pretty much everything unless i do a reverse cinch on something very small. Its worked for me but seems to slip on spinnerbaits.

I use a Palamor Knot for everything I can.

It may take a lot of line but I feel more comfortable with the Palamor.

I use this knot on buzzbaits, spinnerbaits and treble hook baits.

At least you know you have a good, secure knot at the end of your line.

I have all the confidence in the world in the palamor and use it almost 100% of the time. I like the fact that it uses a little more line (especially when I need to retie). Spinnerbaits and buzzbaits are no different when it comes to the knot I tie.  :)

All these knots will slip on spinnerbaits and buzzers. Get some shrink tube, cut a smal donut and shrink around the r bend.

I tie a Palomar, but I have been experimenting with the Sixteen-Twenty Knot (also Called Duncan or Pitzen Knot):

I ise Palomar for everything... ive never had a problem with it "slipping" on my buzz/spinner baits....
