Q for Reelmech

Featured Replies

Is it bad to be throwing these big baits (ms slammer) with my Revo stx?  It's starting to make a bit of a screaming noise when I cast out.  I know it needs to see your bench either way after going for a swim but could these baits be doing damage?

Thanks

BUSTED!

Did you marinate the STX?

You know it needed some

work if that happened.

L-B-H,

One drop of oil on each spool support bearing, and on each spool shaft end shim should stop the screaming....They are probably dried out....

Thanks Dave, I'll try that and see if I can get through the season, it's not that bad yet.  Sewing machine oil ok for now?

If one of your buddies has a deep frier, just put it in with the bird!

That should cover all the bases.

It's about time the STX started to scream.  Mine, and several other people's, Premier has een screaming since taking it out of the box. I now call my Premier "The Jukebox."
