You can see it, that 's the advantage, as for the fish, most times and under most circumstances line visibility matters very little and if line visbility is your concern then tie a claer nylon or fluoro leader, visibilty problem solved.

Do you think the brighter colored line would help in night fishing situations?

No, I don 't think it would help unless it glows under blacklight.

Mono lines are available in bright colors too.

Great for line watching seeing as with moss green sometimes i have problem seeing the line with sunglasses this is a great solution.

In the long run, it might not matter for braid. The color is probably going to eventually wash off leaving you with a white line.

Yes I think that they can in clear water.  That is why I use a fluro leader on my Hi Vis yellow Power Pro.

I dnt think line color matters.  However i am one to think that moss green should blend in the water better than yellow, red, ect.  just my take.

I use colored braid for visibility like the other have said.  Sometimes the fish will take the lure without the tell-tale tapping and just move with it.  With a bright colored line (yellow) I can see the line starting to move much easier.  I always tie a fluoro leader to my braid.  Saves braid and clears up the visibility issue.

for fast moving lures i prefer moss green

for slow presentations i prefer hi vis line

ok as i come from a golfing background i must ask the question.

Do colored lines perform as well as clear lines?

I know that in just about every situation a "colored" golf ball will be much much harder than the original white or off white and will not have the spin the touch or the feel that the ball should have.

With fishing line, the issue being discussed is always "visibility".

Color has no impact on any line in terms of managability,

strength, stretch or other variables you might consider.

awesome, thanks i figured that but went away from the cajun red line last time until i figured it out, didn't know if adding the coloring agents would make the line more brittle and easier to break.
