GOTO SWIMB8 REEL

Featured Replies

If you could choose one reel for swims what would it be? Baits in the Punker Jr., Baby Wake, Wake Jr., Matts Gills, Tru Tung Gill size. Price not a factor. Throw it out there

Abu Garcia EXT.  5.3:1 gear ratio, 180 yards of 14 pound test.  EXTs are fantastic reels.

I use a Diawa Luna 300 for my swimbaits. I would probably go with the 253 for smaller ones though.

If price is not a factor I would go with a Calcutta TE 300 or 400.  I recently picked up a used 300 TE, and it is an amazing reel.

A Curado 300, Cardiff 300 or 400, or Calcutta B 300 or 400 would be much cheaper but still great choices.

Curado 300 or Shimano 300TE. It really depends if you want a low profile or round reel.

Custom Daiwa Big Bait Special.  Sick reel.

Im purchasing a baitcasting swimbait setup this winter as now i fish them with a spinning set up.  Im going to get the new curado 300 for my reel.  Mainly because shimanos are great reels and i want a low profile.

Went with Curado 300DSV. And Okuma 7'6". Really wanted the Curado E in 300 size but couldn't wait. d**n you baitmonkey. Could just mean I will be selling the DSV sooner than later. Depending on E release.
