Low profile-wide spool

The PFlueger President and Trion both come in Wide and Narrow spooled models

Isn't this what the Revo Toro is trying to accomplish?

The Johnny Morris line has a wide spool version.  160yd capacity vs 120 for the narrow.  .2 oz heavier.

Bass Pro Shops Extreme has a wide spool version also. And so does Browning with their Midas, Citori, and Medallion reels.  These are 12 lb./230 yd. capacity.

The Pflueger Summitt comes in a wide spool version.

The Pflueger Patriarch only comes in one size, but they all it a "WLP" or Wide Low Profile.

While its in the saltwater section, Quantum has the Cabo. I believe they still offer the MG Wide series too.

The reason why I dont like revo's = narrow spool.

Give the new Citica's and Curado's a try. They have surprisingly wide spools.

Wow, I'm liking that Revo Toro

Wondering just how much distance it would add though. I fished for a few hrs today with Bassectomy and our casts were comparable.

I was throwing the stx and he had a shimano wide spool, round body. (forgot which one)

Same distance.

If I had to spend money on a big bait reel, I would probably wait for the new curado 300E to come out, and then compare to the toro.
