Hey folks, I am looking for the best mono line that does a good job of NOT holding memory.  Right now I am running 17lb suffix siege and I find this line to be pretty good.  I do not like to use much less than 15lb or so as most of my fishing is inshore saltwater (primarily redfish).  I run powerpro on my spinning rods, but I prefer mono in my casters.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

Trilene XL is very limp for mono, and it casts well.

Pline CX Premium.

Trilene Sensation.  I have used the Sufix Elite and it is not bad, but I have not tried the Seige.

Well, I think you already have the best mono that IMHO seems to resist memory better than any other out there and I have used many monos, including XL. Now I use XL on my UL set up and it is one of the best out there when abrasion isn't a factor.

But since your goal is to find the one that has minimal memory, I think you can save your hard earned $$$ because you already have the best at doing what you want. Sufix Siege rocks!

I've never tried McCoys, but I've never heard anything bad about it.  A lot of anglers on the Texas Fishing Forum use it.

RW you really like this stuff I may have to try it on your word.

Quite a few of my buddies will vouch for Yo-Zuri Hybrid.  I use P-line CXX X-tra Tough in 12-15# on BC gear.  I don't use too much nylon or copoly for spinning and bass, mainly use braid or FC, but I really like Suffix Elite in 4-8# for trout.

For the McCoy user, have you used Suffix Siege?  If so, how do the two compare?  I prefer Suffix over Trilene XL.

Now, how does the Yo-Zuri compare to other mono's?  Personal preference and advertising lead some to buy products they could match with similar products of the exacting specifications.  What sets YoZuri apart from other "No memory" mono's on the market?

Its performance is great.

Very low memory.

Light line.

Strong line.

No knot failures.

Just a nice line to use.

And it has proven itself with guys on the forum which means that the advertising means nothing. Real stories from real guys makes this line an excellent addition to your war chest.  

I've tried alot of different lines, but I always go back to my trusty Trilene XL.

Of all lines Sufix Seige has performed best. Low memory, and is incredibly strong. Trilene Big Game is also really good, I like the color, Electric Blue.

Just started using Sufix Elite 'cause I got it dirt cheap at Wally World on clearance, but have not used it long enough to have an opinion yet.  Trilene XL has been my line for over twenty years.

If you have not given Izor XXX a try you should.  The best mono I've tried to date and I've tried lots.  Hint:  If you usually fish 14lb. get the 12 and so forth.  It's strength is under rated quite a bit.  Very limp, casts well, very low memory, good knot strength, pretty cheap for a quality line.  Bert
