what to use this rod for?

Featured Replies

so, I've got an all star 7' ML/F spinning rod, with a shimano sedona 2500 spooled with 15lb power pro.I originally got the rod for working original rapalas, and small jerkbaits, however, I've found I'd rather use my ultralite for the rapalas, and a baitcaster for the jerkbaits, so I basically don't use this rod now.  I was thinking maybe drop shotting, but that isn't a technique I really ever do, and on very few occasions would even have the opportunity. so I guess I'm wondering, what would you all throw with this rod, or what do you guyds throw on similar set ups?

tubes, small jigs, light t-rig, small senkos, grubs

Use it when you fish for white bass, crappie or stocker trout.

8-)

Shake head work or weightless plastics seem to work well with this rod IMO. tight lines

I have a 6' M/L spinning rod and I use it for weightless soft plastics, small lightweight lures, and finesse fishing.
