Which do you think is better investment?

You can suggest a little higher priced one if you think it's worth it.

I like the Carrot Stix Gold, Kistler TS, and others in this price range, but the Energy PT and Mojo look enticing.

IMO, there are many better rods out there than those two. But for the $, the mojo just can't be beat. I absolutely love both of mine. They are very strong and very sensitive. I put Revo Premiers on mine and the whole combo weighs like 10oz! My all time favorite rods are the Powell Max line though. I fell in love with them right away.

No i sure don't andamtoft, but i will be ordering a spinning one soon. I'm sure they are identical to the casting series. I absolutely love the MAX rods man. My smallest is a 7' H/F that i use for plastics.

i just got mine off *** on liquidation and i'm really excited to try it, glad to hear someone loves the max series... cant wait!

Look at airrus copperheads or the co matrix. also H&H makes a good rod. I looked at the 7'6 mh mojo at gndr mtn and it was too heavy and waaaaay of balance. if it had a longer handle and maybe a weighting system i would have bought it. i love the med mojo though. awsome. i dont like quantam anything. but definatly look at airrus and H&H. and no its not the same company that makes the spinnerbaits(h&h).i bought an H&H and i love it.

The SCII blank (Mojo & Premier) is a mid modules blank, said to be in the 30 mil to 40 mil modules range..

is it the modules that make it sensitive? also what is the IM rating, sorry to hijack the thread

higher modulus generally means more sensitivity. IM ratings are one way that rod makers use to measure modulus. IM6 has a lower modulus than IM10. BUT: IM ratings are not standardized. They mean different things for different companies.

Dan I plan on using it for shore fishing where there is a lot of trees around, and I love to fish worms, creature baits, anything weightless or a small texas rig.

I think you will appreciate a higher quality rod for worms and soft plastics. Sensitivity is the most important for soft plastics and jigs. If you want to get a sensitive, high quality rod for any application it should be for soft plastics and/or jigs.

well, for around $150 you can get a Kistler Magnesium TS. I really like the one I have. You would probably want the "All Purpose" (MgAPSMH69) or "Senko Special" (MgSWMH70) for what you want to do. The Avids are really nice rods also and I've heard really good things about the carrot sticks. It's a tough choice you have.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Shimano Crucial yet.

now that you mentioned avid, id get that. very good value and great warranty. from what ive read, g-loomis shines when you buy IMX or GLX. i have not tried the mossyback's personally however.

For the money, carrot stix are great rods. I have two and love them, plus they have a no hassle lifetime warranty.
