wondering if a spinning r&r would be good for light t rigging..weightless plastics and tubes for lmb?  im in love with t rigged plastics, btu cant afford a baitcaster right now...thoughts?

Same here. Spinning is fine for Texas rigs. Use a rod with medium or medium-heavy power.

I use a 6'8 cumara medium fast with a sustain 2500 for  t-rigging. I find you can throw em further on spinning gear and i lose less plastics. I throw em with 20lb powerpro and if needed a 10lb seaguar invisx leader. I also use this rod for inline spinners, drop shotting basically any light applications.

After each cast, make sure you close the bail manually(by hand)

instead by cranking with the handle. This helps avoid line twist.

No reason not to use spinning gear for t-rigs if that's what you prefer.  I personally really like using spinning gear for tubes with weedless jig heads.  Before I went nuts last Christmas, I was fishing all my t-rigs on a 6'6'' MH Extreme with a size 40 President, wonderful set-up, and even better when I upgraded to a 7'MH Extreme.  I'm even contemplating getting a second spinning set-up for tubes and weightless worms.

I use spinning gear for all my plastics, t-rigging, wacky and drop shotting. I will still on occasion use a bc, but very rarely anymore.

option for weightless rigging because it eliminates the
