Dom, you should set aside a jar for the money you would have spent on cigs and use it for one of the new Pfluegers or Abus...that is, unless you are too stuck on the round reels Grin

Yea I am loving these round ABU's

I spoke with ghoti, he is going to switch out my drags and upgrade the bearings for me when the hard water sets in, one more change in the wind

going back to Fenwicks, What a long journey to end up where I started!

Actually Fenwick is not making the rod I want in the Power/Action I want in a 7 ft rod! The search begins, All Stars are to heavy, I ain't spending more than 100 per rod, the hard water season will bring a few Cabela's Road trips to check rods out.

What made you change from your Fish Eagle II's?

RW - have you got a CI4 already?  If so, let's hear the initial impressions.

No, I don't think it's available yet.

September maybe?

It would look sexy on a few of Daiwa's upper-level rods, as well.

heck ya, I forgot about the Fuegos. That thing would look dynamite on a Fuego

Would also look sexy on that new Abu Vendetta rod.

Actually that may be my next set up if the Vendetta rods are any good.

And the posse returns..... ;)

I'm actually looking at the 200E7.

Are there any new Shimano's due to come out to compete with the new Revo's?

Maybe 200E7 price will come down.

Not very hard to do really! The new Revos are pretty fugly IMO!

Why would the price drop?

You have to be patient but you can find Powell rods on ebay for $100.00. I just got my first a couple of months ago and love it.

x2

The Curado is a bargain at retail price. I think they underpriced it, actually, but I'm not complaining. ;)

hey Muddy that green Abu lived on a Falcon Original for a long time and i LOVED that set-up. i tosses DT-4's and -1's on that set-up. id give those a look if youre looking for a shallow crank rod.
