Hey all.  got a st. croix 6'8" mojo bass wacky style finesse rod that i wanna put a good finesse reel on.  i was thinking a stradic CI4 would be good.  but ordering it online i cant decide btwn a 1000 or 2500 size.  ne1 wanna put their 2 cents in here? its certainly welcome...

2500 is the best size in my opinion, i own a sehara and it is 2500

If you are going to use 4-6 # line the 1000 will be just fine.  If you are going larger like 10-12# then the 1000 won't hold enough line.

2500.  I have about 6 2500 size spinning reels.  They aren't that big.  You can use light line, like 6 or 8, but it will be fine with 12 or 14 as well.

Larger is always better on a spinning reel  8-) within reason

Go with the 2500

I'm with Dodge Guy. The bigger the reel, the bigger the spool. The bigger the spool, the longer the casts and better drag system.

The weight difference between a 2500 and a 4000 is often only about an ounce.

Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. If weight is an issue, stay with the 2500.
