And I bought the spro crank it was on sale lol .. (shirt was free)

I have several and yes, they are great reels. Probably won't be your last!

That reel is a BEAST!  I have taken that reel with me everywhere and it's still going good in both saltwater and freshwater.  Trust me you're gonna LOVE this reel.  I'm getting the new 50E when it gets out anyways for flipping and pitching purposes.

I bought one last year and now have 4.  I really like them, they cast great, not the smoothest but really take a beating.  I too will probably pick up a 50 after they are released.

I have mine saddled to a BCR854. The colors match perfectly!

This is a beautiful rig.

So what does everyone think of this for the stick to go with my reel?

I am new to higher end equipment and not sure if I want to jump straight to rods that are very specific to the lures.. any other opinions by anyone?

Excellant rod choice,  I have the "poor" mans version of that same combo. A Citica 201E w/ a Kistler Mag TS 6'9" MH. Very versitile setup, I toss lipless and shallow cranks, senkos, spinnerbaits, finesse jigs, t-rigged plastics, and jerkbaits with it. The Heluim/Curado combo should be as versitile, while beeing lighter, smoother, and more sensitive.

Well, I ended up having some issues and finally got around to getting a rod for this reel Micro recommended I try out the Fenwick HMG...

Grabbed a GT 70MH-F 7'0"
