looking for some insight on these lines. any input?

I used Fireline 30# last year... It was solid.

I haven't used 832 but Suffix Performance braid is very solid as well. It was a little to stiff for my liking but that's the only issue I had with it.

I don't think you can go wrong either way there both good. I use Fireline. I'm sure you'll have a split on who likes what.

I've only had experience with the fireline braid. Bought a spool when I was broke and it was on sale at Wally World for dirt cheap. Decent stuff didn't have any issues with it.

i use fireline braid but suffix 832 is supposed to be good also.i have friends i trust who use it and have told me so.

Pay some attention to how stiffly lines are processed (coated) and what your intended purpose for the line is.  Fireline braid is a lightly coated very limp braid, whereas 832 is a considerably heavier coated (stiffer) line.  It is my experience that a more heavily coated stiffer line performs better on spinning tackle and lighter coated limper lines perform better on bait casting tackle.

I never used Fireline but I do have the 832 right now. I have a hard time pitching jigs with it. I have to feed the jig line after my pitch to get it to fall straight. I  bought it mainly to be use with rubber frogs anyways. Just it's still winter and my jig set up I have to get the reel service. It's winding up the line to the right side. Not sure what's the problem.

How long do you think that coating lasts? I'm thinking about trying some of the 832 on a spinning rig.

is it a curado?they were known for this.sometimes tightening the screw under the line guide helps.if not your line guide gears are probably worn.

Sufix plans for it to last the life of the line. In the real world, while softening up, it will probably always remain stiffer than the Fireline braid... but, of course, that's just my guess.
