All nice outfits Brad, however you paired the 805 with a topwater bait and no reel. Must be fun cranking those props! Where is its mate?

I may post a pic of my setup tomorrow. The Quantum is gone so the old Templar is on the Vendetta.

I was slinging 1/8oz jerks about 75-100ft with 6lb copoly on that poison glorious bfs rod i had.

I bought a 1/8oz Rapala Floater and using a Conquest 50 - Avail Spool w / 6# Floroclear / Loomis CR721. I don't know the exact distance that I was getting this morning but I know that I was going farther than the 20 yard mark in my back yard. I managed to get my first BFS Hardbait fish, a Bluegill

Nice fish

Thanks

I was shocked that that it was a Bluegill and it was a fun fight on the CR721 and 6# Floroclear.

Sweet, i love 6 & 8lb floroclear. Great line.

Yes sir! That'll work just fine. There are a few new rod/reels that I have been eyeing but ongoing medical bills have put a damper on that. I need to get some photos up in this thread sometime too!

Ballin on a budget. Love my new *** Black. The sensitivity is awesome for a $100 rod. post-51924-0-80953000-1432750856_thumb.j

I have several *** and love em...especially foe the price

Dont touch an ***...i touched one once and now i own two...

Yep the *** is A great rod! I currently own two but I know i`ll be buying another soon!

Just in the past year have I started getting some legitimate rods and reels. Nothing top of the line, just some stuff that can suit a guy like me who is just getting into bass fishing on a more serious level. Its been a year or so in the works, figuring out what techniques I lean on, and what gear I need, and I have it down to four combos that suit me perfectly for right now.

Left to right:

1. Quantum pt kinetic with 65lb power pro, on a 6'6 ugly stik gx2. I mostly use frogs on this rod, along with some heavier jigs. Really anything that I throw that is decently heavy.

2.Abu garcia promax combo, left hand retrieve, 7.1.1, 20lb pline, 7ft medium heavy. I use this rod mostly for texas rigs and my finess jigs.

3. Lews carbon fire, 7.1.1, 15lb p line, on a 7ft Duckett ghost cranking rod (medium). I use this for all of my crankbaits, popper and spooks. Anything I throw that has trebles is usually 3/8 ounce or smaller.

4. Abu garcia vengence spinning combo, 7ft medium. 10lb monofilament. I use this rod for small tubes and shakey heads mostly.

That's odd... That same japanese reel fairy is supposed to drop off two Metanium 15 DC's later on this week (6.2 and 7.4). Should be getting my 2 - Zodias in the next couple hours by UPS.

Pic's of the setups later :)

**edit** speak of the devil, delivery of rods just now. lol

Should have everything by the end of the week. *hopefully.*

Nice rods and reels! I am probably one of the biggest fans of the EMTF. Hard for me to describe the rod but I feel like it does so many things well that for my intended uses it would be the only casting rod I would buy a duplicate of.

So I guess the Zodias doesn't come with that Hook Keeper that I see on every picture? Anyone have any insight on this?

No hook keeper, most jdm rods dont have them...
