Here are some pictures and the video from the giant I caught at LaCygne this weekend. She weighed 10 ls 15 oz and released to fight another day.

Fished LaCygne Sunday- I started up lake and noticed quite a few boats in the river section. I pitched flooded brush and water willows for a while ending up with one fish about 2lbs.

Had another good day on Wolf today/yesterday/Friday, whatever you want to call it at 1am.

I checked out Olathe lake on navionics and google earth and it looks like there might be quite a few spots I can get to. I can shuffle around some so not totally confined to a wheelchair as long as can get a trunk close to the area.

Is Lenexa lake the one around Cedar creek estates? Is it open to public? Thanks for all your help. Sorry to intrude on your thread but just good to know there are some options around here to fish.

I don't know anything about that lake but I don't think you have to worry about derailing this train.

Lol :)

Heritage has a nice paved sidewalk along the entire dam that you would be able to fish from.  I pulled in a 3-4lb fish from the bank the one time I fished out there 4 or so years ago.

I believe that the lake/pond around cedar creek that you can fish is called Mize lake. It's s fun lake, but I've never caught any great size. Lake Lenexa is located on 83rd and Monticello..near K7 and 83rd. I've done well there too. You can almost always catch something from the bank throwing a weightless senko, and I've caught a few in the 3lb class from the bank on jigs and cranks at the right time of year.

Thanks guys, great info. I see Lenexa lake now and looks like some spots I can probably fish.

Crappie, cornbread, mac'n cheese, and granddaughters for dinner today. Had a couple hugs for desert. Doesn't get any better for fathers day

Took a buddy out to Jacomo on Thursday evening and caught two keepers. Caught them both on the south end. I was pitching the weed lines.

How was the water? It was pretty stained and the weeds were mostly submerged when we were out there last Thursday.

The water wasn't as clear as it was a couple of weeks back. Most of all the weeds were submerged. I went out Wednesday and Thursday. On Wednesday I caught one pitching to the weeds in the middle of that south end and Thursday I pitched to the shorelines.  You can read that on bottom of page 218. The wasn't mush wind on Thursday evening.

Had the first chance I've gotten to really fish Stockton this past weekend. Got out on the water with the uncle-in-law Friday evening and all day Saturday. Even got the wife to come out with us later in the day Saturday. We launched in between Crabtree and Masters and pretty much stayed in that area the whole time as the wind made it hard to run down the main lake Saturday. Tons of keepers, no monsters but almost all keepers in the 15"-18" range. The water was 73-78 degrees and up in the bushes. We caught fish on hula poppers, finesse spinnerbaits, larger white spinnerbaits, t-rigged worms, shakey head worms, and jig & pig. Jigs and big worms dragged off shelf rock banks was the most consistent pattern we were able to put together, and produced the most keepers. Smaller number of fish including our largest 16" smallmouth and 18" largemouth both came on white spinnerbaits in the trees. Not many pics (missing a pic of her uncle's big smallie unfortunately) but managed to grab a few. It's hard to reach for your phone when you want to get a line back in the water! On our way back I trolled a flicker shad through the creek channel and caught 4 or 5 12" crappies that were suspended at 15 ft in 25 FOW, some of which still had eggs. All in all one of those weekends that leaves you wanting more, but the wife and I drove home with plenty of memories. Can't wait to get back for the fourth of July family reunion!

P.S. Only one pic uploaded, this website is a turd when it comes to handling file sizes. Ozarkanglers.com doesn't seems to have this issue...  :Idontknow:

Camped at Clinton Friday-Sunday, I snuck off to fish Saturday morning by myself from 7am-11am. Two smallies on a square bill at the dam and a drum :( wind kicked up and called it a day.

Thanks for all your help. Sorry to intrude on your thread but just good to know there are some options around here to fish.

He said intrude!!! Best group of folks on this site and very sharing with info, Welcome aboard!!

yeah thats one of my favorite lakes to fish! good size fish with bonus smallies. ten and twelve in worms and jig in pig and shaky heads are by far the best producers but its nice when they hit moving baits that for sure!

yeah man it's quickly becoming one of my favorites as well. I know that people have said it doesn't produce big fish like some of the other Ozark lakes, but the times they are a changin'

We'll I was gonna get the kayak out today and hit Jacomo but the wind was pretty strong today so I decided to hit the bank and go to James A Reed. I caught about four decent bass with a 7.5 Culprit fire and ice worm. I was gonna go home but decided to head over to Jacomo. I went around Ligget Cove and caught a few decent ones.

I really didn't catch anything to brag about but I've been in a slump lately so it was just nice to catch fish!

Does anyone know what kind of kayaks are for rent at lake Jacomo?

I'm going there to fish tonight. I'll see if I can take a peek over there and find out.

Pulled a couple of nice 2 pounders from Cat Claw this evening. Shaky Head for the win!

Do any good? We're going to try to fight the wind and dodge the storms this morning to see if we can do any good out there. Finally got my custom built swimbait rod and a couple new Real Prey swimbaits to give a test run out there.

That's a big 2# fish!

Thanks man. I think that's actually a 3# fish. I bought a new scale (spring style) and misread it (tested it on a 5# weight today). Heading out to Jacomo tomorrow morning.

Fished Prairie Lee today from 9-2. Didn't set them on fire or anything but we did alright. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 30-40 fish but nothing over 3 pounds. I'd probably go back but the fact that they don't open the gates until 8am is really a major deterrent to me going out there.

I didn't realize that they didn't open the gate till 8. I dont usually put in at the ramp. One of the luxuries of having a kayak. I guess they dont open it earlier because of the houses? I would have guesses they opened at 6. I hate the gates all together. I wish They would just do away with them.

Be careful not using the ramps, read on another forum a guy got a $153 fine for launching his yak from a random spot instead of the ramp. It says in the Jackson Co boating regs that you can't launch anywhere other than a ramp. I read that the don't patrol Prairie Lee much but we saw 2 park rangers today in 5 hours.
