For anyone interested we'll be doing the Saturday morning deal at Melvern this week. 6:30-??? 1 maybe? There were several members there last weekend and everyone reported catching lots of fish with several good fish, should be a good time Saturday if we can get the weather to cooperate! We'll go out of the EAST state park ramp.

No, it's the state park ramp on the northeast side of the lake by the dam that we normally go from, in Eisenhower State Park. The one we went from last time was Arrow Rock on the south side of the lake. 

 Fish sure look like they're doing a lot better than last time I was out there. 18" on the nose, didn't weigh it.

 

 

 

I was thinking the same thing, those fish look very healthy.

Got out with Drew tonight at Lone Star. No giants but plenty of Lone Star Specials. A few we caught were just plain fat. Even the little ones are eating good. The one pictured had a craw almost fully swallowed, which is the same one with the belly on her. Fun, quick evening to get out. Thanks for coming out Drew!

It was a lot of fun getting out... I mean I would say Lone Star is a bust. I don't think anyone should go there...EVER

What was crazy about that small fatty was when I squeezed its belly a bit to keep it from swallowing the craw while Brian was getting a picture, it was pooping. That means that the fish was either digesting the craw in its mouth really fast or it had eaten one before it...and tried to eat another one after. If it keeps that up, it will weigh 6 lbs when it is 16" haha.

Had my dad over tonight for the Packers / Royals game and he showed some interest in fishing the Melvern saturday morning with me. So I think we may be on for that.

Jared and I fished it yesterday, rain seemed to have no effect on them.

Didn't weigh or measure any but had a bunch in the 15-17 inch range and all very fat.
