Here are some pictures and the video from the giant I caught at LaCygne this weekend. She weighed 10 ls 15 oz and released to fight another day.

Fished LaCygne Sunday- I started up lake and noticed quite a few boats in the river section. I pitched flooded brush and water willows for a while ending up with one fish about 2lbs.

How about the forecast for this weekend eh?

I'll be installing my new Garmin unit tomorrow morning, and then trying to get in as much water time as possible. Who else is getting out?

Possibly me on Sunday, might be showing a guy the ropes on his new Echomap 73DV :laugh5:

I'm gonna get some family time in this weekend. My girls are going to their grandma's for a week (starting monday) so I think we are going to the zoo on Saturday.

I get the boat back Monday from it's checkup with new plugs, impeller, and a hot foot!  :respect-059:

I've got the new software on my birds (soposed to fix the 2d problem) and I've updated my navionics map and have a Ipilot link coming for the Terrova. Can't wait to follow a set depth or contour!

I use the moon and the sun

We're always going to have "that guy".

Don't listen to him, blue boat has down imaging and GPS.

Sun down imaging with moon lights?

blue boat down imaging is a 2 inch pvc tube you look in one end while the other end is in the water :laugh5:

Sun down imaging with moon lights?

It does have day and night options on the lighting screen so it doesn't look like a spotlight at night.

Done deal! Really pleased with how it turned out. My dad added his own touch to the ram mount and covered the bottom bracket with matching vinyl on the counsel. Adds a little more shock absorption, and aesthetically pleasing. Moved my old Humminbird to the front. Didn't have time to get out and test it today, but I'm super stoked to get to play with it all day tomorrow.

i should be ordering mine in a few weeks so hyped

Looks like garmin really upped their game. Nice neat install.

Well, looks like my new electronics work! Played a little hooky yesterday and took advantage of the deep Crappie bite at Clinton. Fish were holding tight to the channel breaks in about 22-30 fow. Definitely had to chase the schools around. Each bite window lasted about 20 minutes, with several doubles (kind of a cluster running two rods). Had a lot of fun!

Bass Resource in February = Crappie Resource

That's going to change if I ever get on the water this month!

Hopefully bust my boat out of winter storage next weekend!

I know I know...couldn't resist. :Idontknow:

From the Lawrence Fishing District Newsletter:

"A tremendous smallmouth bass sample was collected at ___________ (I think we all know which lake, If you don't I'm not going to be the one to give it up :laugh5: ) Reservoir in 2014, which resulted in this reservoir being ranked 2nd for this species in the 2015 forecast. High numbers of young smallmouth bass were collected, along with high numbers of adults; indicating that this fishery is only going to improve."

I've actually heard from a good source that the population is doing very well out there now with fish nearing the 18" mark not uncommon.
