Sled Creek right off of Kentucky Dam Village is where it's at during the Spawn.  I'll be there!   ;)

That is one of my honey holds in the spring.  If you see a blue and silver Bomber with a 150 Black Max on it stop and say hi.  Better yet give me a call and we will wet a line.    Bud

Well guys, if you have an open seat, I'd like to chase some of those 11+ lb smallmouth with you!

The fishing on my end of Kentucky Lake has been tough in 2007. For the most part,

TVA has been very stingy with water release on the weekends. I sure hope the drought

comes to an end and we get back to a more normal schedule. When do you all consider

the best time for "spring" fishing? On the river portion of the lake, below Pickwickwick Dam,

January and February are our best months for smallmouth.

Well, I was talking to Dave Stewart this past week, and he thinks that the pre-spawn will be good this year for Largemouth around Mid-March to Mid-April.  Then, he said, between April 20 to the beginning of May will be the spawn.  :)

I don't think we'll have any shortage of water this next season.  We have had 6+ inches of rain in Western Kentucky this month.  The Ohio & Green River are at least 4 feet above Winter Pool right now.  The Ohio is busting at the seams with water on the Indiana side reaching as far as 1 mile inland.   :)  I sure hope the Tennessee and Cumberland are doing the same!  That way maybe we can send some water down your way.   ;)

I'll be at Kentucky Lake for 7 days somewhere between April 10th and 25th.  The wife and I plan on meeting one of my buddies and his wife from Oklahoma  to do some fishing.  I'll let you know when the time gets closer to see if you are still interested, and we could meet up to wrestle some hawgs!   ;D

My home waters are Barren River Lake and Lake Malone.

I live in East Ky and mainly fish Cave Run Lake out of a Ranger 390V with a 200 HP Merc. Would LOVE to get down and fish KY lake but it's a fairly long drive.

eastkybass...I haven't forgotten about a trip to Yatesville and I hope you'll put me on some fish come spring.

Hey everyone

I fish KY and Barkley too, but I beat the banks.

Cant wait to wet a line this spring, I think I'm having withdrawals.

Good luck to all this year.

I am stationed at Ft Knox and mainly fish Rough and Nolin. Looks like I'm moving to TX in a couple of months. I was just getting to know these lakes around here and now I'll get to start all over again.
