I've always had good luck with soft plastics, but it seems any time i rub against any structure (or swing and miss) they always want to slip down from the top.  Is there any good way to prevent this?

A toothpick through the plastic and into the eye of the hook.

Try a Gamakatsu or XPoint 4/0 Offset Worm Hook. That's what I fish.

Are you talking about plastics on a worm hook or plastics on a jig head?

On worm hooks I have a variety of HOMEMADE keepers to hold the plastics. On jigheads I notch the collars with gate shears and if necessary add superglue gel.

I use the parasite worm clips. You can also get a parasite worm weight with clip. BPS has them they work really good. Jig mans idea is similar to it.

Ditto on the parasite clips - don't know how these things work or why they work, only know they work!

Not sure where Jig Man gets his clips but Eagle Claw makes a hook with a clip that are real close.

I bought a bunch on sale at Wal-Mart a few years back and take the keepers off and put them on EWG hooks. They work great!

I think that is a hell of an idea.

parasite clip is by far the best option for your situation, unless youre crafty and could look at a picture of a parasite clip and make one out of a piece of wire (actually that wouldnt be too hard to do).

Thats what I was thinking. Also, you may be using the wrong hook.
