Bass eat smaller bass! What is your success with the Baby Bass patterns in your local pond?

I don't fish ponds but it work in the lake.   Great in the spring.

The 5" Florida Bass Super Spook has caught a lot of fish for me.  

As others have said, they work well.  

I actually got into a discussion in my Philosophy class in college regarding the baby bass patern.  The argument made my Aristole (I think it was him anyway) is that it is that a species will not harm itself, and that it is in our own nature (and the nature of animals too) to not do harm to our own kind.  One of the fundamentals of Natural law in a sense.  My obvious question was, "Then why is my baby bass shad rap so successful in catching bass?"  

I was surprised that it spurred at least a half hour of discussion.  Anyway, this thread made me think of that.

I've tried several different baby bass patterns and manufacturers including LC.

I have caught bass on them, but it is not a hot pattern for me

I haven't caught a lot of fish on this color either, but it is due to the fact that I have success with shad, bluegill, white, and chartreuse colored baits.  I haven't used baby bass enough to give it a fair shake, compared to these other colors.  

Yeah Baby Bass has produced alot for me, in my stik-o's and hard baits!

I find that the baby bass color is MOST effective when the spawn has come to an end,the males are done guarding the beds and they start eating whatever they can find (lots of times its baby bass that they eat). Thats about the only time of year that I throw the baby bass patterns.

Much like fivebasslimit, I love baby bass after the spawn, but I also like it all summer long, that along with any bluegill, or perch pattern bait is fantastic up here in the late spring-early fall. In cooler water conditons I like a plain minnow (silver or gold and black) color,during pre spawn though, a crawfish color seems to draw strikes when most others don't.

I get alot of great pics sent to me of good bass caught off my baby bass.  I also prefer to fish them late spring throught the summer.

Baby Bass paterns have been working steadily for me. They might not be the best or most productive pattern but it is a good dependable pattern. It has worked for me in both lipped and lipless crankbaits from various brands, as well as in the larger size of the Pop-r.

I have never really done to good with baby bass pattern baits. Sure I have caught a few fish on em but like Avid said it just isn't a hot color around here.

Baby Bass Senkos have been very productive for my partner.  I prefer black w/blue or green pumpkin, but many times I've switched to baby bass when he starts killin em.

My goto bait is usually a baby bass colored bandit crankbait, its what I call my warrior!  It runs about 6 foot deep on 12 pound mono and its caught alot of fish for me!

What he said. Usually I'll move to shad colors and worms when summer takes full effect.
