So hypothetically speaking, how should one pack and prepare for a trip to Stick Marsh in early March?

The cabin fever is in full effect, so I'm reduced to mentally planning trips.  Hehe...

The first thing you want to do as far as the marsh is concerned, is purchase a plane ticket and send it over to me.  Next, meet me at the airport and pick me up.  Third, have some money ready to pay George Welcome my fees and get me on that lake!

By sheer coincidence, we had to move the trip to 3/25 and 26th so maybe this is a good thing

Trends tend to persist, and we are currently experiencing our "6th" cold front.

I'm headed to CAMP mack on Monday but I will be around the Stick Marsh and Garcia if the wind blows.

Be careful if the wind is blowing on the Marsh, it can get really rough out there. Especially if the waves are breaking into the running canal. My buddy and I got caught with some pretty big waves breaking into the side of boat. That wasn't a fun day. Probably the scariest day I have had on a boat.

Today is 3/2 and I wouldn't be caught on SM today on a bet......Really not on any lake around there today.  I am near there and the wind is brutal......I hope you made it back OK.

I'm going to the Marsh tomorrow. If the wind gets back up I'll go over to Garcia or might try to look GW up. I'm sure I could learn a few things from him.

Frogtog, be careful out on the Marsh. If I were you, I'd go to Garcia. FWC shocked up over 500 fish OVER 7 pounds in 3 days at Garcia a few weeks ago. Stickmarsh is still superior to Garcia when it comes to big fish, but FWC says Garcia is yielding more big fish than it ever has.

Yep the wind is blowing for sure. I'm spending most of my time in the motel room. :

Ditto.  The biggest fish I caught this year came from Garcia.  But I gotta tell you --- it is better than SM in the wind but at 20 to 30 MPH gusts....I wouldn't fish either of them.

I live about 2 hours north of where you go to school and for Stick Marsh the best two words to remember are George Welcome.  I've fished with him and he is AWESOME!
