I'm going to see WSP for the first time live this summer at Bonnaroo.  I'm really looking forward to it.  I've heard they are incredible live.  My personal favorite band is Dave Matthews Band.  If you like jam bands you should try to come to Bonnaroo, you'll find out about loads of great bands, and you'll have an awesome time.  This year's headliners are: The Police, TOOL, and Widespread Panic.  Check out the Bonnaroo website if you want a list of all the bands.

I'm a huge metal head. Slayer, At the Gates, 3 inches of blood, a javellins reign, etc. I was also into hardcore around jersey and new york back in the day. Cro-mags, agnostic front, VOD, bulldoze, madball, you know whatever.

im a big jam band fan. faves are: phish, umphrey's mcgee, and galactic.

but The Avett Brothers are my all around favorite

Band? haha! What day is it and what mood am I in?

Bands? Alright, here goes.

Pink Floyd is probably my all time favorite.

Nipping on their heels are:

CCR, Zepplin, Skynyrd, Pantera, Metallica before the Black album, Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Eminem, D-12, AC/DC, CDB, Dead Kennedy's, Primus...

It runs the gambit. I like music. ;)

hey hibachi--I will be at B-roo this year!!!

Nice... I can't wait, last year was my first year and it was GREAT!  I will actually be working at a beer booth 4 hours/day to get free tickets.  Not a bad gig, considering I'll have free beer and free ice the whole weekend too.  I'm especially psyched to see TOOL.  I've seen A Perfect Circle live before and they were great.  Should be a wide range of people there this year.  More so than previous years, with TOOL, WSP, and The Police.  Well, maybe I'll see you there! :)

For you guys going to Bonaroo--MAKE SURE TO CHECK OUT OLD CROW MEDICINE SHOW!

This question has come up before and every time I start thinking about it .......2hrs later I'm still sitting here with this burnt smell in the air, a flashing red light behind my eyes and a beeping sound between my ears with a mechanical sounding voice repeating "too much info. will not compute will not compute, total system shut down in 0-10 secs."

Everything from Pink Floyd to Roy Orbinson, from John Prine to Hank Williams Sr., from Enya to Janice Joplin. Sure not much help as far as narrowing things down :-[...

Skillet is right.  I don't know how many times I've answered this since I've been on the forum.  I'm sure a few bands and musicians on my lengthy list change every time because it depends on what I'm listening to at the time.  One band is always there though.

Dream Theater.

'nuff said.

Wow,  I like so many genre's and so many artists.

I like GOOD music.  from country to gospel, to oldies to rock, to blues, to jazz, and yes even some rap.

My favorites change from time to time but a couple that are always on my short list.

BB king

Eric clapton

Bob dylan

Talking heads

Elvis Costello

then the lady jazz/blues singers especially Dinah Washington, and Etta James.

concrete blonde

Pretenders

OH and one more.

the village people  :)

Well, if the question was, 'Favorite Musician', then I would answer with a resounding Bob Dylan. He just kicks all sorts of musical ***.

But the question was 'Favorite Band'. So my answer would have to be Pink Floyd. I just can't get enough of David Gilmour's bluesy guitar.

I was lloking at old pictures of the VILLAGE PEOPLE: I figured out why there are shadows in all of Avid's pictures. He is a founding member of the VILLAGE PEOPLE. I hear from sources that he owns a pair of leather chaps with no butt on em COME ON GIVE IT UP AVID
