I dont have too much to work with so i go with alot of soft plastic baits. my personal favorite is green ZOOM lizards. i also use twirl tails and fake crawfish which by the way i have been using a weedless hook with a caralonia rig. is that right? well if u know any good places to use these types of baits i would appreicate if you would help. thanks and feel free to email me.

Give us a little more info on where your are using those soft plastics. The good old C-Rig is can be a good choice in the right place at the right time.

The baits you are using can be used in a lot of different places at a lot of different times on a lot of different rigs.

Let us know where and or what type of lake(s) you are fishing and what kind of structure the lake has to offer. Some of those baits can be very effective on other type of rigs depending on the structure. Some other good info would be the equipment you are or have to use for these baits.

The first big fish I ever caught was on a Zoom craw-worm, C-Riged at Santee Cooper.

I prefer to fish fast, so I use a lot of topwaters, crankbaits and spinners. However, I use weedless soft plastics in weeds and other cover where exposed hooks are not usable and also use them when the faster lures are not producing. There is a staggering array of soft plastic styles and shapes and I pretty much stick to Power Worms, Senkos, Flukes and tubes. My partner will use lizards where I use worms and he does well, so I think you can use what you have confidence in.

Soft plastic baits come in countless varieties adaptable to an infinite number of situations and conditions.  It would be easier to list the few times I don't have one tied on or feel that a hard bait is a better choice.  The first situation that comes to mind is prespawn; I generally start throwing plastic baits when the water temp hits 60 degrees.  After the water temp hits the 60's, I always have a plastic of some sort tied on, with my favorite target being shallow cover.

I would say soft plastics are my bread butter lure and i will throw them year round.

I'm under the plastic spell myself.  I havn't fished a hard bait w/ success in....well...since at least last march.  I leave them home.

Bassmaster91 I'd tell you to fish a lizard slow off the bottom.  Let it do its thing around down there.  Its the only way I've caught on them.  I havn't had one hit on a fast mover my self.  You may have different success at your spot.

for lizards, you can carolina rig them and drag them on the bottom. that would be my suggestion. lots of the time the lizard does most of the action itself

Anywhere and anytime there is water with bass in it.

Put a lizard on a jighead this spring. Fish it around rocks and beds.
