My home team just won the US Little League Champio

Featured Replies

Awesome!  Sitting here watching the race and ESPN just showed they won.

My nepwhew (incredible HS pitcher) in TN and we were up last weekend watching one of the games.  Said the team we were watching was from Warner Robins Georgia and thought about you - love the Warner Robins, GA, CSA in your tag line.

What a thrill for these kids.

Beat Japan!

Congrats to those kids.  I was really pulling for the kids from TX, but they were out-played today.

Either way, I'll pull for them tomorrow versus the Japanese.

Go USA!!

Thanks y'all.  I wondered if I'd get any replies to this thread.  Our Governor was there too.  He's from WR too.

CSA Taylor!

That's awesome!  I've actually been watching some of that, it's more fun to watch than pumped up rich steroid players...  ;D

That's such a HUGE accomplishment. Too cool!

8-)

Congratulations! It was a great game. We watch and went to a few of the games. I live in Williamsport, PA. The kids really showed there sportsmanship at the end of the game when they went out and hugged the kids from Japan--class act 8-)

USA # 1

Aw man,  I was channel surfing and saw the game.  I hesitated a moment but kept on going.

If i woulda known it was your home town Dan I woulda watched and cheered/

I' remember when Taiwan beat our boys.  I was the first time a non american team won the little league title.  Wow It was like we got we got invaded by martians.

Dan ,if I was a betting man I would have bet a small fortune on the Texas team to go all the way , but the Geogia team did them in. Congratulations to all the fine young men from Georgia that brought the trophy home to the USA, they earned it.

Thanks y'all.  They got home safely last night; riding in a big bus with a motorcycle escort from the Atl airport to their home in WR.  We've lived here since moving from Miami, Florida back in 1972.  We raised a good looking, healthy son here.  He never played LL but he did play in the county leagues and in middle and high school baseball.  Loved seeing those fine young boys represent the South and WR so well.

That is awesome!  I've been watching some of the elimination games but I missed this one.  The Little League games are great to watch.  It's amazing the talent that some of these kids have at such an early age.  You have every right to be proud of your hometown boys, Lightninrod!

Hey LR: Are we up in the North, still considered part of the United States?

And they did play well, 2nd time in hisory, extra innings and a WALK OFF HPME RUN.

What you guys also should be proud of was the sportsman like behavior they had to Japan after beating them! :)
