Tell us about your screen name

I used to be Daniel My Brother, then the artist formerly known as Fourbizzle dropped the izzle, and I was able to pick it up cheap.

Heh, I took it for a while, but got tired of it.  ;)

I'm in the insurance business and used to do alot of whitewater canoeing and kayaking. Hence the "risk" kid. Came up with the name as a screen name and e-mail name a number of years ago.

This being a family site he couldn't use his other name ]#%$":!@#

You mean this one

I'd rather not discuss my new name ::)

Moby, from Herman Melville's "MobyDick"  implying large, very very large.

Bass meaning...well, bass.  Something I hope to catch someday.  A very, very large bass.

I just changed it to fishindaddy.  For two reasons.  A-I realized I could actually change my screen name and 2. That's what I am.  A fishing Daddy.  If you have read my posts my fishing almost always involves my kids or my wife.

Hey Speed,

Thanks for creating this thread.  It's been an interesting read, kind of allowing me to get to know some of you better.  Thanks to everyone for sharing.

Well, my handle is pretty self explanatory.  I am a part-time music minister as well as a teacher who LOVES to bass fish.  As a Christian, I feel strongly about sharing my faith with others and being a positive example for them, hence "Fisher of Men".  :)

God bless!

I like to flip a lot, I mean a ton, seriously if I had all my jigs and bullet weights  in  my boat it would sink, wish I was actually good at it though... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Its me and my sons ;)

The name really belongs to our fishen store, me and him talked one time and we both said it would be cool to own a small fishen store with serious gear located next to Bartley or Kentucky lake ;D

A place for the regulars to hang out with coffee and donuts and swap old fishing stories too 8-)

Would be cool :) but the making a living at it would be tuff ::)

So thats our name here wish I had a donut to place here ;D

No problem.  I remembered one like this a while ago and, like you, thought it might shed some light on some members.

I have enjoyed reading everyone's posts.  I am sure next year when we have another 5000 new members, we can revisit this topic.

I used to skate a lot when I was younger (15 yrs. ago) and got that nickname because I always wore a ripped up Jimmy-Z tee shirt of some kind.  It started out Jimzee79 and that was my football number when I played.  I jumped on the name change bandwagon because jimzee is easier to type.  :D

Next to The Beatles, Phish is my favorite band.  I first heard these guys in college, living in the dorms.  Well, I was hooked from then on.

Catching them live was a special treat.  Every night was a different show, different songs.  You could see them 10 shows in a row and be hard pressed to find many repeats.  They also had one of the best lighting guys in the business.

We followed them from city to city, catching as many shows as we could, when we could.  My buddies and I worked for the local municipality in the summer, so it was very hard to get off work.  The old 'father and son fishing trip' excuse worked well though.

That's a hoot.  I guess in your case, gravy is a food group.

Matt is short for Matthew and Fly is my real name.

Thus Matt Fly.

I kind of like gravy myself.

Hey Fisher, I fished with some of your buddies the other day, Jeff Cook and his crew had me down to Austin and we did some fishing.

Jeff Cook has been director of Fishers of Men in that region for awhile.

Told him we had some FOM on our forum, but didn't not know them by their christian names.

Matt

Prepare for the most boring and geeky story so far.

A few years ago I worked in a quality control lab where our job was to validate and confirm the cleaning of an industrial plant site that was converting from manufacturing cephalosporins (an antibiotic class including the brand names Keflex, Ceclor and Lorabid) to another product.  Cephalosporins are severe allergens and the tiniest amount present in the new product could kill a sensitive individual so were were testing down to ppm levels.

Unfortunately, seeing how the Husker defense has played that last few years, there has been very few knockouts of the good kind coming from Lincoln :( :-[ :'(
