Has anybody tried Chompers Soft Plastic Baits?  Good, bad, or have a favorite?

I have used the Chompers DT Hula Grubs on football jigheads and as jig trailers. That's the only bait I have used and have no complaints ...... well maybe one. Some people may like it, but I really don't care for it. The particular baits I use smell like garlic and it's VERY STRONG. I almost dread each time I have to open the bag.

Agreed...those things stink to high heaven!  But they do work rather well on a stand-up or football type jig head.

the first time i opened a bag of them i almost puked!! but seems to work.

try chompers super sinker, had some good results.

They work well, but the stench isn't worth it.

Zooms and gamblers work just as well without bringing tears to your eyes.

Awwwwww...c'mon the stank ain't that bad...smells tasty. Then again I change my child's diapers everyday...so smell isn't really a factor for me. I like Chompers soft plastics. ALMOST the only spider grub I use...GYCB gets used too. I like using them on a stand-up jighead.    

I can't use Chompers because everytime I open that bag I want to eat italian food.  Then for the next few hours of fishing all I can think about is how hungry I am.  I end up missing fish because my mind is elsewhere.  Hey speaking of garlic have you guys ever eaten at........DANG IT!  See how easily I am distracted.  That's why I don't use Chompers.

Aww just dab it a couple times behind your ears and go fishing that's what I do I use the spider grub a bunch it works great.

ive used quite a few of their lures & they all worked great for me.....ive got a great story about getting something :-X :-X across the canadian border in a chompers bag.... but i wont get into that :-X

I picked up a couple of bags and wow they stink.  I thought Gamblers were strong.  I am looking forward to fishing them.  I hope the fish like garlic.

I like the Hula Grubs in Watermelon/red flake. They do smell though so wash your hands before you go home or your honey will question your whereabouts for that day.

I like Chompers Spider Twin Tails on a football jig. They do have a phew factor though. I thought about going to another brand because of this. Any suggestions? I like the 5".

In my opinion, Chompers spider grubs have the best action.Yamamoto Hula grub is my second favorite.They do stink, but they flat out catch fish.I like rootbeer/green flake color and fish them on a football head, or use a hawaii dopr shot rig in around weedbeds. Ivan

Chompers have some good baits.  My favorite are their double tail hula grubs and their tubes.  

The hula grubs are the only ones I fish.  I like them better then the rest of them out there that I have used.

The lizards are ok but I like zoom better.

The stinch, what those dont stink.  Smells real good.  Keeps the vampire bats away while night fishing.
