I don't think I have any more to add between Muddy and Hookem's lists.

Muddy, I like the nods for Lightnin' Hopkins and Son House, nice picks. Those guys are incredible on acoustics and I don't think I've seen anyone play a dobro as Son House did. He played very intensely and on some songs he plays solo but he plays so many parts that you can almost hear drums that aren't there. Apparently he introduced Robert Johnson to slide guitar but I don't know if that's true. I know he was one of the originals to do and popularize it though.

I think he did actually play some of the songs, though. Even so, I don't think he is good at guitar.

Also, Ry Cooder did the soundtrack.
