A young carpenter was pronounced dead at Sacramento General  Hospital today after he intentionally took a Sawzall to his own neck. His boss's decision to listen to Christmas music all day has been implicated in this unfortunate turn of events.

This is Harry Ball reporting, channel 12 news, now onto the weather.

You guys have no idea how close this was to actually happening. 8, count them 8 different incarnations of jingle bells. I was losing my mind.  Tomorrow: iPod.

Half of the X-mas songs I hear at work are beautiful classics, remixed by todays R&B shmuks.  I can honestly say I have heard somebody scratching Bing Crosby.  It is so wrong in so very many ways.  Uuuggghhh!

The absolutely worse part I hate about Christmas is the overplayed, abused Christmas songs on the radio.  This time of the year is when I like my cd's.

I can't deal with it either. 5.oh's avatar is right on imo.

I'll have to think about that one.....

No s**t!  How many times in one day can you listen to Blue Christmas?  I counted.  With the different radios playing in the plant I heard it 7 times.  Ugh!!!

The wife and I went downtown for dinner tonight.  Understand that we live in one of the most backwards, red neck places on earth.  A new chinese buffet just opened so we decided to give it a try.  Everything was great until the bagpipe X-mas music started.

redneck town -- chinese food -- Scottish bagpipe Christmas music.  A very bizarre evening.

One local radio station started playing Christmas music three weeks ago.

A Norfolk station been playing since Novemeber started.

My boss has it going in the office non-stop for the last week. I like it better than listening to breathing and paper shuffling.

I can't deal with it either. 5.oh's avatar is right on imo.

Why thank you TD.  8-)

They have been playing it since before Halloween.  I can't go into a D&D without hearing it. It's almost over.

The station I listen to here only plays it once in awhile.  Not overdoing it here.

A Milwaukee station was playing Christmas music Halloween afternoon, I kid you not.

My boss loves the stuff. And to make matters worse he knows that 90% of the staff hates it with a passion. So knowing this he makes us all utterly miserable from right after Thanksgiving through the New Year.

In September there was a radio station here that announced it was going to be changing format starting January 1st. So instead of retaining it's normal music format and disc jockeys until then, they axed all the jockeys and started playing Christmas music in September.  :o

its torture and way overdone . it starts in november 1st here also i cant believe anybody leaving these radio stations on for any length of time .it seems you hear the same five songs played over and over.

Have you guys ever seen the movie "FRED CLAUS" ?? Well in the movie when Fred Claus (Vince Vaugn) goes to see his brother (Santa Claus). In the factory that builds the toys, they play the song "Here comes Santa Claus" year round, non stop, back to back. Fred goes crazy, Goes upstairs beats up the Elf D.J (ludacris) Then puts on some dance music. All the Elves go crazy and start dancing. Freakin hilarious. Kinda reminds me of this thread.

After waiting tables for 9 years and listening to the same 10 songs for 8 hours a day for a month, I cannot stand Christmas music to this day.  >:(

Try working a retail job this time of year.  I now know how fortunate I am to have the job that I do--2 years ago I was working at Banana Republic during the holidays, now I run an apartment complex.

One of my employees asked me yesterday if we were going to decorate or anything, I replied with a resounding "NO!"

I can put up with it for awhile but when you start playing the crap in October it gets kinda old by christmas.  I could easily deal with it for 2 weeks.

I think this is the reason I dont go to stores that often from Oct-Jan.

Hey Gone I was in Milwaukee over the weekend. One of my daughters had an away college basketball game @ Mt Mary College.

 BTW

We stopped in Mukwanego just of I43 on the way back to eat. We found a family resteurant called Zeneli's(?). It was excellent for the price about $7-1$0 for a very nice and very good tasting meal.

I can't listen to my cd's anymore. Because you picked them up in broad daylight and scratched them!!!!
