Clean Your Vehicles Off!!!!!!!!

Recommended Posts

For those of you that live in the Northeast or anywhere else it snows----clean the snow of your vehicles!!!!!!!   I am sick of seeing people driving around with snow covering all the windows except for a head-sized spot in windshield.  You are dangerous >:(!!!!  Take the extra time to clean the snow off so you can see.  Don't forget the headlights---they don't do much good with a foot of snow over them >:(!!!!!!

lol good point. It reminds me of Ricky Bobby in Talladega Nights, when he has the huge Fig Newton sticker on the windshield.  "This sticker is dangerous and inconvenient, but i do love fig newtons."

May I add the roof of the vehicle as well? I can't think of anything much scarier than a sheet of ice flying at your windshield while doing 70 MPH.

Had a big piece come off a STATE TROOPER car on the highway yesterday a chunk about 18". Hit my windshield (by the nose it made I figure my windshield was toast, somehow it wasn't) and f'd up my mirror.

Please clean them off, you will cause an accident.

IN NY and PA, it's the law now. Three years ago a lady was killed on a PA highway from a sheet of ice that came flying off an 18 wheeler!

Every morning I take my two older kids to school, and every morning I have the conversation with them about being too lazy to clean off your car.  Well.....last week one of them high schoolers, who doesn't know how to clean off his truck, dang near side swiped me.  I had to drive up in the ditch just to get out of the way.  I think my kids learned the lessen I tell them every day when I turned around drove into the other parking lot where this kid parks and followed him into the school.  If you could have seen his face when the prinicipal made him come out and apologize for his carelessness.  He then revoked his parking pass for the rest of the semester.  My daughter is almost 16 and boy can she ever clean a car off good.  Just plain laziness.

I pulled over a person the night and made them scrape windows before they could leave.  So Scrape them before you go anywhere.

Ok this is my take on this YES i do clean all i can possibly on my vehicles i drive before i go out on the road. BUT then again if u just had a ice storm/snow  and ur that close behind other vehicles ...heres your sign... just like you wont get behind a dumptruck with a load of rocks there is plenty of room on the roads to stay clear of  hazards BTW it is impossible to clean ice off the roof of a school bus unless u have heaters and about 3 hrs

The problem is not during the snow/ice storm, it is a couple of days after.  You don't need to be that close to the person for the ice to hit you.  As a matter of fact, that is probably the safest place to be, the danger zone is two or three cars behind or even in another lane when the sheet of ice catches the right wind and goes flying.
